Over One Billion people will log online searching for a date in 2014

It's a new year, and it's a new world, in how we communicate and find information and people.   The online revolution is mainstream and more and more people will log online searching for a date in 2014 than any other time in history.

Unfortunately, most mainstream social networking sites are just not set up for dating and what people are looking for.  Additionally, most mainstream Advertisment Listing sites are more geared towards only erotic or listing services.   And dating only websites can be a turn-off.  However, combining both social networking and dating make a perfect match for networking and dating.

Over One Billion people will log on for a date in 2014 !

“New year, new beau! It’s that time of year, everybody sort of wants the slate cleaned of that last bad date or dating fatigue,” “You come from vacation and say to yourself, ‘I’m going to do this.’ And it takes a few days, you have to get a picture, set up your profile,” , just a few days into the New Year.

Since there are more breakups during the holidays, the dating sites sees a 25% to 30% boost in traffic between Dec. 25 and Feb. 14, its “peak season” as singles try to find someone to snuggle up to for winter.

New Year’s resolutions to find more friends or a partner send lonely singles in droves to, come Jan. 1, and now experts say they’ve figured out the “science” to a perfect profile.

It’s wise to have a friend take your picture, since selfies didn’t get as much love — especially with men, who get 8% fewer messages if their main photo is a selfie.  Men should also be wary of emoticons. While women who include smiley faces in their profiles get 60% more messsages, men who use the same happy symbol get 6% fewer messages and 12% fewer responses than those who skip the smileys.  But real-life smiles are a must, “It doesn’t need to be full-on guffaw, it doesn’t need to be super sexy, but you have to be smiling."  “Those pictures do so much better than cleavage or muscles or action shots.”

When it comes to language, correct grammar and spelling is important — people who have profile with typos get 13% fewer responses than those who used spell-check. And men who use words like “hot,” “sexy” or “cute” strike their chances of getting a response from a potential partner by 44%.
